Terms of Service in Houston, TX 77069
Last Updated: 9/1/2026
What Emergency Water Work Includes
Houston Water Damage Pros provides emergency water extraction and drying in Houston. Work may include an initial condition review, removal of standing water, placement of air movers and dehumidifiers, moisture checks, and basic drying documentation.
Technicians may follow the IICRC S500 water damage restoration standard. Work involving mold assessment or remediation must follow the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Texas Mold Assessment Remediation Rules and may require a separate licensed provider.
Sewage or Category 3 water is handled with care under applicable United States Environmental Protection Agency disposal guidance. Confined-space entry is outside ordinary service unless separately agreed and safely managed under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146.
Reconstruction, mold work, plumbing, electrical repairs, demolition, floodplain development permits, and major contents restoration require written approval. Disposal, spill response, or wastewater handling may require Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, TCEQ 30 TAC Chapter 327, RCRA, City of Houston Department of Public Works, or Federal Emergency Management Agency requirements. Those approvals and related work are separate unless listed in writing.
Appointment Changes and Service Timing
Appointments are set by phone, email, or another confirmed channel. Houston Water Damage Pros will provide the expected arrival window available at booking. Emergency conditions, traffic, weather, building access, and safety concerns can change that window.
Please provide working access, accurate loss information, parking details, and notice of pets, occupants, security rules, or known hazards. A customer who cannot provide access should contact the company as soon as possible.
Cancellations or time changes should be sent by phone or email before the scheduled visit. Any notice requirement, trip charge, or other cancellation term applies only when stated in the estimate, work authorization, or written confirmation.
Water conditions can change after inspection. Added drying time, equipment, removal, testing, or other work requires customer approval when practical. Verbal approval may be recorded, while written approval is preferred. Work outside the agreed scope is not included without that approval.
Written Quotes, Added Work, and Billing
Houston Water Damage Pros may inspect the affected area before giving an estimate. A quote is based on visible conditions, reported facts, access, equipment needs, and the scope listed in the document. Hidden damage, changing moisture readings, restricted access, or unsafe conditions may require a revised estimate.
The customer may review the proposed work and ask questions before approval. An estimate is not a promise to perform work outside its stated scope. Removal, reconstruction, mold services, permit work, special disposal, and other added tasks require separate written approval unless the document says otherwise.
Payment timing, accepted payment methods, deposits, and billing responsibility will appear in the estimate, authorization, invoice, or other written agreement. Insurance claim assistance does not transfer payment responsibility from the customer unless a separate written arrangement says so.
Questions about an invoice should be raised promptly. Approved added work may appear as a separate charge or an updated invoice.
What Any Written Work Guarantee Covers
Houston Water Damage Pros stands behind the workmanship expressly described in a written warranty, work authorization, estimate, or invoice. The controlling document will identify the covered task, remedy, start date, and any stated duration. No fixed warranty period is promised by these general terms alone.
A workmanship warranty applies to the specific drying or extraction work identified in the written document. It does not guarantee that a new leak, storm, flood, plumbing failure, sewage release, humidity, structural condition, or other outside event will not cause later damage.
Coverage may not apply where equipment is moved, instructions are not followed, access is withheld, another contractor changes the work, unsafe conditions remain, or pre-existing damage is presented as new work. Unapproved repairs and concealed conditions are outside the stated promise.
To request review, contact the company with the service address, invoice or authorization details, and a description of the concern. Houston Water Damage Pros may inspect the affected area before offering a warranty remedy.
Responsibility for Existing Conditions and Service Risk
To the extent allowed by Texas law, Houston Water Damage Pros is responsible for direct loss caused by its negligent performance of the agreed service, subject to the written agreement. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the service giving rise to the claim. The company is not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, structural movement, microbial growth already present, later leaks, utility failure, or actions by third parties.
Drying results depend on access, power, temperature, humidity, building materials, source control, and customer cooperation. Work may pause where conditions are unsafe. IICRC S500 practices guide water restoration work, but they cannot guarantee removal of every hidden condition.
Category 3 water, contaminated wastewater, and spills may require EPA guidance, applicable RCRA rules, TCEQ 30 TAC Chapter 327 requirements, or other agency direction. Confined-space conditions are subject to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146.
Houston floodplain permit rules and City of Houston requirements may limit work. Nothing here waives rights that Texas law does not permit a contract to waive.
